Retrain a Robot

Websites change their layout over time. When that happens, a robot trained on the old layout can stop returning data or return the wrong fields. Retraining lets you fix the robot in minutes instead of building a new one.

Why Retrain?​

When Do I Need to Retrain?​

  • The website changed its layout or design and runs return empty or wrong data.
  • You want to capture new fields or remove fields you no longer need.
  • You want to change pagination or the steps the robot performs before extracting.

Tip: On Maxun Cloud, robots automatically adapt to most website layout changes, so you need to retrain far less often.

How to Retrain​

This feature is exclusively available for Extract Robots built using Recorder Mode.

  1. Open Robot Options: Navigate to your dashboard and find the robot you wish to update.
  2. Select Retrain: Open the options dropdown menu (the three dots ...) and select "Retrain".
  3. Update Logic: The Recorder will open. Simply point and click to re-select the data you need or record new interactions.
  4. Save & Resume: Once finished, your robot will immediately begin using the updated logic for all future runs.
